About the Sant Orso Fair in Donnas
The Sant Orso Fair in Donnas has normally been held the third Sunday of January, in order to avoid overlapping with the one in Aosta, held 30th and 31st of the same month.
Once this was an important fair for selling farm tools built during the winter, but now it has transformed into a showcase for the traditional crafts products.
This Fair takes place in the medieval village of Donnas where the visitor can find rakes, baskets, sabots and household items.
The events surrounding the Fair normally start Friday, with the Veillà, then on Saturday the town’s streets are enhanced by a charming torchlight procession, while on Sunday here is the exhibition of the handcraft items created by around 400 local artisans.
