Visit of Saint Vincent
Saint Vincent is famous because of its mild climate and it is known as the ‘Riviera of the Alps’ and this good position made this town a sought-after destination since the end of the 18th century. The town is famous for its thermal baths and its Casinò, which attracted both the aristocracy and the Italian and international jet-set.
Built along the Francigena Road, Saint Vincent has some old buildings as the built during the 11th century on a site dating back to the Iron Age which was converted into a thermal bath in the Roman period.
The Parish Church of San Vincenzo has some Romanesque elements which contrast with the nice frescoes dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries. In addition to the archaeological site that lies under the church, a crypt of the 8th century and a museum with some interesting works of art can be visited.

Saint-Vincent thermal spa
The thermal spring, discovered on 20th July 1770 by the abbot Jean-Baptiste Perret was called Fons Salutis for its surprising curative properties. Starting from the 18th century were built thermal center that strongly helped the tourist development of the town.
In 1900 the thermal center was enlarged by the Ing. Diatto and was realized a cableway to reach the new building.
The redevelopment work on the thermal spa facilities began in 2007, as part of which the original spa treatment center was to be complemented by a modern wellness center looking out onto the enchanting landscape.
